And We're Back!

We're back, Terribles!

After a very, very busy summer hiatus, a newly independent TTFA is back with new episodes and a new live tour (more on that below).

We know when our favorite podcasts go on a break, we're like, "What the heck are they doing? Don't they know I need this show to get through my week?" We get it, we really do. But we promise we were working hard all summer.

Here's what we've been doing:

1. Transitioning our podcast feed. If that sounds like a simple process to you, guess what? We thought it would be, too! And we were hilariously wrong (which is very on-brand). Cue the many panic attacks and midnight o'clock phone calls as we tried to figure out what the heck happened to break our feed despite our best planning efforts. If you were alarmed to discover that every back episode of TTFA got re-downloaded to your phone over Labor Day Weekend, we were too. But it's all fixed now, and we thank you for not coming after us with pitchforks.

2. Making a new website! We'll always love the black and yellow, but we wanted to branch out a little bit and try something new ... something more bright, more fun. Because the vibes may be bad, but they can also be colorful. We are also hard at work updating our new website with past episode transcripts (which were unfortunately lost during the feed transition). We know there are lots of you who appreciate our show transcripts, and it'll take us some time to get it done, but it's happening!

3. Building a new company! We are now a proud production of Nora's new creative studio, Feelings & Co, a company with feelings and about feelings. And we really need you to take a moment to appreciate the company's adorable logo, created by our friend Holly. You'll also see this logo in our updated podcast art (and possibly on some tour merchandise, too), so get familiar with that cute little smiley face!

4. Making new episodes! We've been wanting to feature more stories about body stuff for a while now, because being a human with a body opens all of us up to complicated feelings about the skin suits we live in. We were thrilled when Genna reached out to us wanting to share their story, and we have more episodes like theirs coming up.

5. Planning a live tour. If you haven’t already heard (and it not, literally how … we feel like we’ve been screaming it from the rooftops), Team Terrible is heading out on tour in a few weeks with an all-new live show experience to celebrate taking our show independent and the release of Nora’s new book, Bad Vibes Only.

We're coming to:

Friday, October 7 | San Francisco, CA

Sunday, October 9 | Seattle, WA

Monday, October 10 | Portland, OR

Tuesday, October 11 | Los Angeles, CA

Saturday, October 15 | Philadelphia, PA

Sunday, October 16 | Brooklyn, NY

Monday, October 17 | Washington, DC

Tuesday, October 18 | Boston, MA

Wednesday, October 19 | Toronto, ON

Friday, October 21 | Chicago, IL

Saturday, October 22 | St. Paul, MN

This tour is only possible because of our partnership with The Hartford, an insurance company that’s been around for more than 200 years. They provide people and businesses the support and protection they need to pursue their goals and get through unexpected challenges (and they’re also just great people to work with).

XO, Team Terrible

You know those days, right? The kind where you wake up with a knot of anxiety in your chest, a little stormcloud following you around, a general sense of foreboding even though most people would be like really? Your life looks pretty good to me! And even though I know what helps me (a routine that I stick to, saying out loud that I'm feeling uneasy or worried or another specific feeling, calling someone who loves me to force them to remind me that I'm not a piece of shit) sometimes I'm still...

Raise your hand if you were shunted into a gift & talented program at a young age that rewarded your natural inclination to memorize things quickly but also resulted in an inability to see struggle and failure as a natural part of the learning process. Raises both hands until my shoulders dislocate. I know I’m not the only one in this camp, and yes, I’m working on a TTFA episode about it (call 612.568.4441 if you want to share a story). But I haven’t been in school in checks calendar 17 years...
